Lynda Kong
Lecturer of English And Writing
Lynda Kong received an AB in English from Princeton University, and studied abroad at Oxford University as a junior. She earned an MA in Twentieth Century Literature from University of Sussex, England, and an MA in Biblical Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary. She served in pastoral ministry for nine years at Christ Church NYC, an Anglican church in Manhattan, where she was Director of Women’s Ministry. She has taught at Hunter College High School and Westminster Theological Seminary. She is interested in exploring memory and poetics, and the intersection of practical theology and literature, especially in modern and contemporary British and American poetry. Her publications include a chapter on how T. S. Eliot’s poetry corresponds to religious conversion in Religion and Myth in the Poetry of T. S. Eliot (Newcastle upon Tyne: Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2016).
She lives on Long Island with her husband and three daughters.
