Why did you decide to come to The King’s College?
I prayed about it and was sure God was calling me here. I wanted to go to a school where I would learn how to influence people, how to write well, speak well, and think on my toes. I did not expect to find that in a Christian school. I was overwhelmed by their mission and their fulfillment of the mission. I saw both the mission and outstanding risk-takers in action at King’s when I visited. I wanted to be a part of it.

The thing I love most about The King’s College is definitely the community. Everyone at King’s is willing to help you and lift you up whenever you need it. The professors and the staff know your name and are always available.

What do you love about The King’s College?
The King’s College is a unique school where students have the opportunity to learn the wisdom that has been accumulated since the time of Socrates. I love that I not only get to learn from my professors, but also from the greatest minds of history through the material we cover. You can’t get that many other places in the modern world.

What is your favorite NYC restaurant?
There's a little burger joint just outside of Union Square called “Stand.” Hands down, they have the best milkshakes in the city. It's one of the city's best kept secrets.

What do you love about The King’s College?
I love the independence, responsibility, and social opportunities provided by living in apartments. I love the small student body and the close community, the small class sizes, and the ease of access to professors and faculty. I love the mission which is oriented towards seeking truth and influencing strategic institutions. I love the House system (LEWIS!): the instant family it provides and the competitiveness it instills. I love how all the classes are interconnected and how the professors don't just lecture at you. Rather, they teach with a Socratic Method, expecting you to think for yourself. I love having access to the World's capital and all it has to offer.

What do you want to do when you grow up?
My ideal job would be to work at an art museum, in the special events or administrative department. I would also like to start my own event-planning business someday.

What do you love about The King's College?
Every discussion in class, the lectures, the homework and the projects are academically and intellectually challenging. The location: The Empire State Building in NYC! Every time I see the ESB in a movie I scream, “That’s my school!” There is also a richly and religiously diverse faculty. I love that I can find my professors published on journals and newspapers, interviewed on TV and on Wikipedia. I have talked with other college students who study books written by my professors.
