What do you love about The King’s College?
I love the independence, responsibility, and social opportunities provided by living in apartments. I love the small student body and the close community, the small class sizes, and the ease of access to professors and faculty. I love the mission which is oriented towards seeking truth and influencing strategic institutions. I love the House system (LEWIS!): the instant family it provides and the competitiveness it instills. I love how all the classes are interconnected and how the professors don't just lecture at you. Rather, they teach with a Socratic Method, expecting you to think for yourself. I love having access to the World's capital and all it has to offer.

What has been your greatest challenge at TKC and NYC?
Trying to balance studies, socializing, work, chores, eating, and exercising while still getting enough sleep!

What is your favorite NYC restaurant?
I actually love the Indian food stands that are dotted around the city street corners. The rice and chicken for about $5.00 is particularly nice and you can easily make two meals out of it.

What do you want to do when you grow up?
I don't really know, and at King's, in the Politics, Philosophy & Economics program, you really don't have to. One of the reasons I chose the school was because the major was so open-ended. I could go into government, or education, or media and come out with a solid grounding for any of these.

What would you say to someone who is thinking about coming to The King’s College?
Do more than think about coming. Pray about coming. And actually visit. You should never attend a school, or write off a school until you've visited.

Have you been encouraged and challenged spiritually?
Going to college anywhere challenges you spiritually. You have to try to maintain your relationship with God in a totally new environment. Will I prioritize having a quite time in my schedule or will I let my new Bible class substitute that for now? Will I still set aside time to pray every morning or will I just do that while I'm at the gym? What church should I attend? Should I join a small-group/Bible-study? The good thing about King's, though, is that you are in a community that will support you in your spiritual endeavors. Your roommates, and House-mates, and even your teachers will challenge you in your spiritual growth. You just have to choose how to respond to it.
