Passes to Empire State Building as well as tickets to the pancake breakfast
will be given out in the lobby of the Empire State Building on Saturday
morning between 8:30am and 10:30am.

8:00 PM Soccer Game: TKC vs. Cooper Union
Field 10 - Randall's Island
The first TKC soccer game of the year kicks off at Randall’s Island.
King’s will start the season playing against Cooper Union. To get to
Randall’s Island from the Empire State Building, walk to the 33rd St and
Park Avenue subway station. Get on the Uptown Bronx bound 6 train and ride
to 125th Street. Leave the station and get on the Wards Island bound M35
bus. Get off on the Main Rdy stop and walk south. Field 10 is next to Ichan
Stadium. There is also plenty of parking on Randall’s Island. This is not a
required event.

Building Passes
To enter the premises of The King’s College, the Empire State Building
requires that each guest have a pass. Saturday morning, from 8:30am –
10:30am, there will be a table set up in the lobby of the Empire State
Building on the 34th Street side which will have your building passes.
Please do not lose your pass as it is a security risk and difficult to
replace.
9:00 - 10:00 AM Breakfast

Come and enjoy a hot, pancake breakfast before the start of the day. Connect
with old friends and meet students and their parents who are here for
Parents’ Weekend.
10:00 - 11:00 AM Faculty Lectures
Classrooms 1, 2, and 3, TKC Lower Lobby
Spend an hour learning about what students here are learning and experience
an abbreviated lecture from one of our distinguished professors. Dr. David
Corbin, Dr. David Innes, and Professor Brian Brenberg will each be speaking.
- Dr. Corbin is an Associate Professor of Politics, the Dean of the
School of Politics, Philosophy, and Economics, and has been at King’s
since 2007. His areas of academic interest include classical political
philosophy, politics and literature, and American foreign policy. He has
served in the New Hampshire State Legislature and currently teaches the
class American Political Thought and Practice I, II, and III, all of
which are Core Sophomore and Junior level classes. Learn more about him

- Dr. Innes is an Associate Professor of Politics and has been at
King’s since 2005. He is passionate about the integration of faith in
politics and has written extensively on the subject. A former pastor in
Iowa, he now teaches the class Foundations of Politics and has taught
other classes such as Enlightenment and Liberal Democracy and Senior
level Politics courses. Learn more about him

- Professor Brenberg is an Assistant Professor of Business and
Economics and has been at King’s since 2009. He earned an MBA with
distinction at Harvard Business School and an MPA at the John F. Kennedy
School of Government. Prior to teaching, Prof. Brenberg worked for the
Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation as well as several other
for-profit and non-profit organizations. He teaches classes in
economics, business communication, and organizational change. Learn more

exquisite décor. While it looks deceptively small from the outside, this
Theater District favorite has plenty of room and is always busy.
5:00 PM Alumni vs. Student Soccer Game
Roosevelt Island - Octagon Field
Alumni, Parents, Students
A time honored tradition, the TKC student soccer team will compete against
those who have gone before them on Roosevelt Island. Last year the students
won. Can they do it again? And of course, what Homecoming would be complete
without a Court. The King and Queen will be crowned at half-time.
Directions to Roosevelt Island
Walk West on 34th Street to the 34th Street/ Harold Square B, D, F, M, N, Q,
R subway station. Take the Uptown Queens bound F train. Ride to the
Roosevelt Island stop. Leave the subway and walk north on W Road to Octagon
Field. You can also take the RED bus route. On the map below, blue denotes
walking and red denotes the RED bus. The bus is $0.25.
