Bryan Finley

As our inaugural 2012 season has concluded The King's College Lady Lions have earned an award from a nationally recognized soccer organization! The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) awards their Team Ethics & Sportsmanship award to men's and women's collegiate soccer teams who have not recorded any red cards during the season. There are 3 levels to the award:

Gold Award .................................0 Yellow Cards, 0 Red Cards
Silver Award................................1-5 Yellow Cards, 0 Red Cards
Bronze Award..............................6-10 Yellow Cards, 0 Red Cards

The Lady Lions had two yellow cards during the season and will therefore earn the Silver Award. Athletic Director Sean Horan said, "I am very proud of this team. They played hard and overcame the challenges of being a first year varsity program. For them to win a nationally recognized award in only their first year is brilliant!" Head Coach Bryan Finley added, "The NSCAA is a great organization recognized by the entire USA soccer community and around the world. The team should be very proud of this honor, and I hope it is the first of many more."
