Admissions
The Office of Admissions is the gateway for students interested in attending The King’s College. Through visit weekends, phone calls, and emails, the office of Admissions decides which students are eligible to attend and encourages those who are eligible to pursue an education here. Student admissions employees must have outstanding work ethic, ability to work in a team, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a changing environment.

Advancement
The Office of Advancement is the face of The King’s College that focuses on donor relations, alumni relations, parent relations, public relations, and career development. Events such as Homecoming, Parent’s Weekend, and Commencement are coordinated through advancement to support these relationships. The Parent’s Leadership Council, the Alumni Executive Committee, The King’s Roundtable giving society, monthly newsletters, and direct mail are some of the specific ways that Advancement fulfills its mission. Work in Advancement requires a high degree of professionalism in appearance and work ethic – it relies on student workers to accomplish substantial goals in these areas during employment.

Business
The Business Department is responsible for handling the vast majority of finances and related reporting for the college including:
- Accounts payable invoice and reimbursement processing
- Accounts receivable cash receipt and credit card processing
- Tuition payment processing and student account billing management
- Payroll processing and reconciliations on a bi-weekly basis
- Budgeting of yearly expenses and pre-approval requests for related spending
- Monthly and year-end financial reporting, audits, IRS, and other financial compliance eporting
- Cash management

The Business Development Department strives to steward the college's assets in productive and responsible ways. In so doing, the department creates additional opportunities to grow revenue in order to support The King's College's central mission.

Human Resources & Reception
The Receptionists are the face of The King’s College to visitors. Receptionists answer phones, greet guests, receive mail, and keep supplies stocked. Friendliness and professionalism are required, as the receptionist filters many people through the college.

Information Technology
The IT Department handles the technological needs of The King’s College and its students. Students who work for IT will either work at the Help Desk or as an Office Assistant. Descriptions of each are below.
Help Desk Assistant
Responsibilities
•· Perform onsite analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex desktop problems for end users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions
•· Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstations and related hardware and software in order to deliver required desktop service levels.
•· Collaborate with LAN technicians/network administrators to ensure efficient operation of the company's desktop computing environment.
•· Where required, administer and resolve issues with associated end-user workstation networking software products.
•· Receive and respond to incoming calls, pages, and/or e-mails regarding desktop problems.
•· Ensure that physical desktop connections (i.e. RJ-45 Ethernet jacks, RJ-11 telephone modem jacks, connectors between PCs and servers, etc.) are in proper working order.
•· Assist in preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring desktop operations.
•· Develop and maintain an inventory of all monitors, keyboards, hard drives, modems, network cards, and other components and equipment.
•· Accurately document instances of desktop equipment or component failure, repair, installation, and removal.
Position Requirements
Knowledge & Experience
•· Excellent technical knowledge of PC and desktop hardware and software
•· Working knowledge of networking, both wired and wireless
•· Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience
•· Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories.
•· Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides

Work Conditions
•· On-call availability for Saturdays and week nights

•· Lifting and transporting of heavy to moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
. The hours are 10-15 per week, between 9AM and 6PM, and starting pay is $9/hour.

Library
The Library is the first stop for research at The King’s College. Holding around 15,000 volumes, the library provides books relevant to student courses and resources, as well as a small computer lab and printing space.

Media Lab
The Media Lab provides all of the media needs for events at The King’s College. The Media Lab handles video, audio, and photography for various events and special projects. Media Lab work requires a basic knowledge of related media skills and the ability to handle multiple projects, as the Media Lab typically has various tasks in queue at once.

Operations
The Operations Department is responsible for maintaining the facilities of The King’s College. The Operations Department handles all building-related problems, including maintenance request forms and room set-ups. Work in the Operations Department requires some physical strength, and basic handyman skills and mechanical aptitude are also helpful.

Provost's Office
The Provost’s Office provides support for the faculty members of The King’s College. The Provost oversees academic affairs, including curricula, receptionist duties, and faculty needs. Work in the Provost’s Office requires flexibility and follow-through, as the office handles a variety of projects.

Registrar
The Registrar’s Office manages students’ academic records at The King’s College. The Registrar’s Office advises students for courses, reviews transfer credit, handles schedule and program changes, and other issues related to student schedules and records. Employment in the Registrar’s Office requires attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
The Registrar's Office is seeking to hire a Registrar's Assistant
The Registrar Assistant provides administrative support for the Registrar’s Office by maintaining accurate academic records and addressing student questions and concerns regarding registration and academic polices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Respond to student inquiries regarding registration, advising, and academic polices
•Process transcript orders
•Track class attendance and send notifications to students
•Process student forms (declaration/change of major, FERPA release, add/drop, etc.)
•Assist in researching and compiling enrollment reports
•Create and maintain forms and other department documents
•Provide academic advisement to freshmen
•Maintain student home addresses
•Clerical office functions (filing, answering telephones, maintaining office aesthetic, etc.)
•Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
• TKC student in good academic standing (maintain term GPA of at least 2.7)
• Detail-oriented and proactive
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to learn student information system (CAMS)
• Knowledge of academic policies

Student Development
The Student Development Department maintains many of the sub-departments that shape the daily lives of students at The King’s College. The Department of Student Development oversees the House System, International Ventures, Athletics, Counseling, Student Services, and Residence Life. Workers in the Department of Student Development may have a variety of skills required, given the breadth of sub-departments.

Student Services
Student Services provides opportunities, resources, and solutions to aid students in the pursuit of their educational goals, to increase student satisfaction, and to retain students to the College. The role of the Student Services Representative is to provide proactive customer service by assisting students with questions and requests; the Representative also oversees projects such as the Stetson TV, the TKC Weekly, and the Gothamize Yourself blog. Successful candidates will be well-versed in College policies and procedures and able to effectively communicate in a kind and professional manner.

Teaching Assistants
Teaching Assistants work for individual professors. Tasks may include writing and grading quizzes, grading for grammar and MLA formatting, photocopying, and fetching coffee. Work and hours vary by professor.

The Learning Center is committed to helping all King’s students to write, think, and speak well by providing free peer tutoring and study resources. Tutors should have a strong knowledge of their subject area, and an ability to explain things to other students.
