FAQ's on Financial AidHow do I apply for financial aid?
You may apply for financial aid by submitting a 2012-2013
FAFSA online. If you are a New York State
resident, you will want to complete the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP)
application at the end of the FAFSA.
Does The King’s College participate in the federal aid program?
Yes. We encourage all students to complete the FAFSA. The King’s College code is
040953.
Do I need to be admitted before I apply for financial aid?
No. Anyone can apply for financial aid, even if they have not applied for
admission. However a student must be accepted for admission before we can award
that student a financial package so be sure to complete the application process
as soon as possible.
What are the deadlines for submitting the FAFSA?
While there is no official deadline for submitting the FAFSA, it is recommended
that you complete it by March 15th.
Do I have to apply for financial aid every year?
Yes, a new application is required every year.
When can I expect to receive an award letter?
Award letters are mailed on a rolling basis beginning in February provided you
have been accepted for admission and have completed your FAFSA.
I am an international student, am I eligible for financial aid?
Depending on availability, you may be eligible for financial aid. Ask your
Admissions Counselor for more information. We also recommend applying for
scholarships. You may research scholarship opportunities at
http://www.iefa.org, a scholarship search
