Our Focused and Unique
Mission
According to Lipman-Hearne,
the nations leading marketing
and communications firm that
exclusively serves institutions
of higher education, “The
King's College is a segment of
one, the only institution of its
kind”.
This uniqueness enables our
graduates to compete for
positions of influence in
America’s most influential
industries: government,
business, media, law, education,
and the church. Simply put,
that’s the focus of The King's
College and our highly
specialized mission is central
to our operation. We strive to
only do a few things, and to do
them extremely well.
Here at The King's College,
we have made several deliberate
choices that highlight our
distinctive way of educating. We
have chosen to locate in the
heart of New York City, arguably
the most strategic city in the
world. We have chosen to recruit
the best faculty and staff in
their respective fields. We have
chosen not to focus on rules. We
train our students for life by
treating them like adults and
encouraging them to conduct
themselves with the highest
level of integrity. Each student
signs an honor code that pledges
not to lie, cheat or steal,
that’s it. At The King's
College, the goal is not to
simply follow rules that govern
our behavior set forth by the
college, the goal is to become
future leaders.
Indeed, it is a unique
institution.
Our Ideas are Competitive
At The King’s College,
students develop a highly
sophisticated biblical worldview
that will enable them to engage
in the great debate over how to
make a better world and how to
think about God, money, and
power. Students learn how to
speak persuasively, write
effectively, think critically,
and understand money and
markets.
At The King's College, we do
not tell our students what to
think, instead teach them how to
think. We do this so that they
can own their beliefs and
counter act bad ideas.
Our Students
Students who choose to come to
The King’s College are highly
motivated. With an average SAT
score of 1240 (based on the 1600
scale), they are among the
brightest of their peers. Their
academic achievement has made
The King’s College one of the
top five most-selective
Christian colleges. Students at
The King’s College are driven to
excel in life.
Our Specialized Approach
to Student Development
Armed with an understanding
of what organizations look for
in potential employees, we help
students acquire competencies
that will make them more
successful. Not only do we
educate students academically,
we also provide real-life
leadership experience through
which students hone skills and
gain confidence. Faculty and
staff provide personalized
evaluation of students’ progress
and guide them in formulating
plans for further growth.
Our Strategic Location:
New York City
We have deliberately chosen to
locate in the heart of New York
City, which is arguably the most
influential city in the world.
Though we could have chosen to
be in a cloistered environment,
we operate where our students
can learn to engage the people
and institutions where faith is
not popular or assumed.
Home to some of the nation’s
most influential institutions,
New York City is the perfect
training ground for acquiring
the skills and experiences
necessary for national impact.
New York City provides our
students with access to
internships in major media
outlets, businesses, top law
firms, influential non-profits,
and a world-class arts
community.
Our Curriculum
Much of American education
today substitutes job training
for real education. This is not
the case at The King's College.
In order for our students to
successfully compete in the
world and emerge as leaders,
they need to have a biblical
worldview that both understands
the ideas driving global trends
and events. To this end, we have
developed a unique core
curriculum consisting of courses
in politics, philosophy,
economics, history and theology
– the fields which examine the
major institutions of our
nation.
