NEW YORK, August 8, 2008—The King’s College will host a new class of students and parents from across the country for New Student Orientation from Aug. 23, through Aug. 26.

New Student Orientation allows students and their parents to get acquainted with New York City, returning students and professors, and The King’s College. It begins when new students move in from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 23 and is followed by a parent reception at 7 p.m. and a student reception at 9 p.m.

Students and parents will hear from Chancellor Oakes, President Mills, Provost Olasky, professors, and returning students regarding what it means to be a part of The King’s College and how to integrate into the community and the city.
|

|
The event ends with The Great Race— a modified scavenger hunt across the city and the first of the yearly House competitions—on Aug. 26.
|

|
This year, the college will welcome one of the largest incoming classes for The King’s College—New York City.
|
| |
|
The King’s College is a Christian liberal arts college located in the Empire State Building in New York City.
