Intelligence expert George Friedman to visit the college

NEW YORK, October 16, 2008—On October 20 at 7 pm, intelligence expert George Friedman will visit the college as part of the Senior Fellows program.

Friedman is founder, chairman, and chief intelligence officer of STRATFOR (Strategic Forecasting Inc.), a private intelligence company that provides customized intelligence services and hosts an internationally acclaimed web site (www.stratfor.com) that analyzes and forecasts trends in world affairs. Friedman’s column, Intelligence Brief, is syndicated by Tribune Media Services.

A frequent guest on FOX News, CNN, and National Public Radio, Friedman graduated with a B.A. from the City College of the City University of New York and holds a Ph.D. in Government from Cornell University. Prior to entering the private sector in 1996, he was a professor of political science for almost 20 years and was an early designer of computerized war games.

Senior Fellows, one of four new course offerings this semester, welcomes renowned, over-50 professionals to speak with students in a question-and-answer format, moderated by King’s Provost and WORLD Editor-in-Chief Dr. Marvin Olasky. The class encourages students to think about their futures through exposure to a variety of accomplished professionals and leaders who enjoy their work.
