Religion and politics expert Michael Cromartie to visit King’s

NEW YORK, February 2, 2009—The King’s College will welcome Michael Cromartie tonight at 7 pm in Classroom 1 as part of the Senior Fellows speaker series. The event is open to the public.

Cromartie is the Vice President at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, where he directs the Evangelicals in Civic Life and Religion & the Media programs. Mr. Cromartie served from 2004-2007 on the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, a position given to him by former President George W. Bush. He is also an adjunct professor at the Reformed Theological Seminary, and has contributed to many publications including First Things, Christianity Today, the Washington Times, and WORLD.

Considered an expert on religion and politics, Cromartie is the co-editor, along with the late Richard John Neuhaus, of Piety and Politics: Evangelicals and Fundamentalists Confront the World. He has also appeared on numerous television programs and been quoted in publications such as the Washington Post, Time, and Newsweek.

Senior Fellows welcomes renowned, over-50 professionals to speak with students in a question-and-answer format, moderated by King’s Provost and WORLD Editor-in-Chief Dr. Marvin Olasky. The class encourages students to think about their futures through exposure to a variety of accomplished professionals and leaders who enjoy their work.
