The Honorable W. Lee Hanley, Jr. named to The King’s College Board of Trustees
 
NEW YORK, April 17, 2009—The King’s College is proud to announce the appointment of W. Lee Hanley, Jr. to the Board of Trustees effective November 14, 2008.
 
A 1964 graduate of Yale University, Hanley has been chairman and CEO of Hanley Petroleum, Inc., an oil and gas exploration company, since 1964.
 
Hanley has served as chairman of a number of organizations and charities over the years including the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (1986-1987); the Yankee Institute for Public Policy Studies (1991-2001); Greenwich Hospital Board of Trustees (1988-1991); New York City chapter of the Young Presidents Organization (1985-1986); and the Reagan/Bush campaign in Connecticut (1980).
 
He has also been an active board member and officer of the J.M. Foundation (treasurer, 1982-present); Landmarks Preservation Commission of Palm Beach (vice chairman, 2006-present); and the Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich, Conn. (vice president, 1980-2000). He is a former director of Regnery-Gateway Publishing and presently a board member of Eagle Publishing as well as The American Spectator Foundation.
 
Lee and his wife Allie, also a King’s College trustee, have five daughters and 10 grandchildren. They reside in Palm Beach, Florida.
