Albania Entrepreneur to Speak on Campus

New York— Grant Van Cleve will address the student body on Thursday, October 12 at 12:30 p.m. He is a Managing Partner for Vista Group, a real estate development firm in Albania.
|

A graduate of the Wharton School of Business, Mr. Van Cleve is an entrepreneur who is using business initiatives to shape the nation of Albania.
|
| |
|
In 1991, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to Albania shortly after the collapse of the world’s most brutal communist regime. Working with Youth with a Mission, he started many churches for thousands of Albanians new to the Christian faith.
|

|
As the Albanian Christian population multiplied, Mr. Van Cleve recognized that it would take more to transform all of Albanian society. Though crucial, churches left the strategic, though fledgling, institutions of Albania untouched. The need was for a broader strategy, one which would create jobs, generate wealth, and reshape the business and political power structures.

To this end, Mr.Van Cleve launched Vista Group, a real estate development firm headquartered in the capital of Tirana. Vista Group, an Albanian-American business partnership, focuses on high end residential real estate. Using an aggressive model in a rapidly emerging market, Vista Group is positioning itself to become the leading real estate development firm in the country.

In conjunction with Vista Group, Mr Van Cleve has launched a non-profit foundation, Vista Pranë. Vista Pranë purposes to stimulate revitalization of all aspects of the nation, to influence both the ‘haves nots’ and the ‘haves’ of society: professionals, artists, politicians, and intellectuals. Vista Pranë sponsors intellectual symposiums, community development programs, and research projects.

His business expertise, combined with years of investment in Albania, have provided Mr. Van Cleve with a platform of influence among Albanian politicians, business leaders and intellectuals.

Joining him is Mr. Mimi Kruja, a fellow Managing Partner of Vista Group. Mr. Kruja is an Albanian economist and banker whose expertise lies in microfinance and marketing.
