King's Launches Student Blog

Prospective students interested in knowing King’s better can now log on to tkcstudentblog.com to learn more about The King’s College from a student perspective. The blog features the stories and perspectives of current students at King’s to help prospective students envision life at King’s.

Launched just weeks ago by Admissions staff, the blog already has stories from six student bloggers. Some stories chronicle common student topics like budgeting in New York City, while others take a more light-hearted approach and focus on topics like the metaphysical significance of toast.

Ben Gotchell, an admissions student worker and original organizer of the project said, "I'm very excited to be a part of this project. I'm thankful for the fellow students who volunteered their time as student bloggers. We've got a talented team that's set to make this a great kick-off semester."

“The student blog allows us to showcase a myriad of students and their perspectives of King's and New York City. Attending college, let alone in New York City, can seem daunting at first glance, so having real-life stories and people to reference is invaluable,” said Elise Graham, Assistant Director of Admissions. “Prospective students love to hear about the educational aspect of the college experience, but they also love to see posts about favorite pizza places, study spots, and celebrity sightings, as it's all a part of the King's experience.” Graham says this helps students envision themselves living a similar story at King's and New York City.

The King’s College educates students in the ideas upon which nations rise and fall. With a focused curriculum in the liberal arts tradition, students are prepared to help shape, and eventually to lead, the institutions of government, civil society, media, law, business, education, the arts, and the church. King’s is a Christian college located in New York City.
