| |
New York—The King’s College is honored to welcome Dr. Myron Magnet to its inaugural Statesmanship Forum to be held on September 19, 2007.

Magnet, editor-at-large of City Journal, a publication of the Manhattan Institute, and former member of the Board of Editors for Fortune magazine, is a highly sought after expert on topics relating to the formation of our nation’s underclass.
| |
The Dream and the Nightmare: The Sixties’ Legacy to the Underclass, Magnet’s most popular book, explains how changes during the ‘60s affected the bottom of society. It was praised by President George W. Bush as the second most important book he had ever read, next to the Bible. Magnet is also author of numerous articles that have appeared in Commentary, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and National Review.

The Statesmanship Forum brings newsmakers to the college who will challenge students to think critically about issues and current events facing society today. Dr. Marvin Olasky, Provost of The King’s College and editor of World magazine, will interview Magnet during the event. The Statesmanship Forum convenes every month through March and hosts an invitational audience of student leaders at the college.
