Former U.S. Ambassador J. Douglas Holladay to visit King’s
NEW YORK—The King’s College is proud to announce the inaugural House of Ronald Reagan Gala to be held at the college on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at 7:30 pm with featured speaker, Mr. J. Douglas Holladay. Ambassador Holladay will offer firsthand accounts of Reagan’s life, faith, and resolve.
In 1986, Holladay was given the title of Ambassador and charged with coordinating major aspects of the U.S. response to the challenges posed by South Africa’s policy of apartheid. Before his appointment, Holladay also worked as Associate Deputy Under Secretary at the Department of Education from 1982 to 1984 and Associate Director, Office of Public Liaison at the White House from 1984 to 1985.
After his tenure in Washington, D.C., Holladay assumed the role of senior officer with the international investment banking firm, Goldman Sachs and Company. Currently, Holladay is a general partner with Park Avenue Equity Partners, LP, a private equity firm which he co-founded in 1999.
The House of Ronald Reagan Gala is an annual event, held in the fall of each year, which features speakers closely tied to the former president.
