House of Bonhoeffer holds Empire State Building clothing drive

NEW YORK—As part of the city engagement projects, The King’s College House of Dietrich Bonhoeffer sponsored a successful Empire State Building clothing drive to benefit those in need.

Students from the House visited nearly every floor in the 102 story building, asking businesses and employees to donate professional clothing. The response was overwhelming. Firms donated everything from an entire box of women’s blouses to brand new, designer ties.

Donations received will be given to Career Gear and the Bowery Mission.

Each year, all nine houses put together projects aimed at engaging the city and implementing concepts learned in the classroom. Projects range from a video on the economics of drug use, to after school mentoring, to sex trafficking awareness.

The King's College is a Christian liberal arts college located in the Empire State Building in New York City.
