MileStone Bank appoints King’s Trustee John C. Spier Chairman of the Board
 
DOYLESTOWN, PA—The Board of Directors and management of MileStone Bank are pleased to announce that King’s Trustee, John C. Spier, has been named Chairman of the Board of MileStone Bank.
 
Spier, a 1972 graduate of The King’s College, began his banking career in 1973. From 1987 to 1994 he was President and CEO of Bucks County Bank & Trust Co., a $1.2 billion commercial banking institution headquartered in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. In 1995 Spier founded FirstService Bank, and by mid 2002 had grown the bank to over $400 million in assets. He eventually sold the bank to National Penn Bancshares, producing a total return of 5.02 times for its original shareholders.
 
Mr. Spier’s expertise includes corporate governance and administration, strategic planning and visioning, capital formation and finance, marketing, and board relations. He currently serves as a trustee of the King’s College in New York City, New York and also serves as a board member of the New York Foundation for Leadership. His past board memberships include FirstService Bank, Bucks County Bank, and National Penn Bancshares among many others.
 
MileStone Bank is a community bank headquartered in Doylestown, PA. It is led by the management team of David Gill, President & CEO, and Elijiah Gray, CFO.
 
The King’s College is a Christian liberal arts college located in the Empire State Building in New York City.
