Leigh-Anne Walker Announced as Dean of the School of Business
Former finance executive and ethics consultant to develop premiere business program
NEW YORK, August 26, 2010—The King’s College is pleased to announce the appointment of Leigh-Anne Walker as the Dean of its School of Business.
Professor Walker comes to The King’s College from New York University, where she was an adjunct professor of ethics with the Stern School of Business. She has spent the past five years as an ethics consultant and professor, including time at Yale University as a Visiting Fellow studying capitalism and ideas of freedom in pre-Revolutionary America.
Before her transition into academia, Professor Walker held CFO and multiple Senior Vice President roles at JP Morgan Chase, with expertise in financial management, retail bank finance, Six Sigma, strategic planning, and risk management. Her experience at multiple Fortune 100 companies exhibits her business savvy and will be of utmost value as she helps to shape the School of Business.
Professor Walker holds advanced degrees in Ethics from Yale, and in Business from Dartmouth.

As Dean, Professor Walker will set a strategic direction for the School of Business by developing the curriculum and hiring new professors. She will also develop relationships with business and professional leaders in New York City and around the nation, and ensure that students’ courses and internships prepare them for productive careers.
The Business Management Program at The King’s College prepares students for careers in the strategic institution of business. Students not only learn the techniques of management, but they also understand the social, political, and economic foundation of the market and the Christian concept of stewardship.
