On Wednesday, February 20th, at 6:20 PM, The King’s College will host a private screening of Ben Stein’s soon to be released expose, “Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed,” at AMC Empire 25 theatre, 234 W. 42nd St. in New York City. The movie takes a provocative and entertaining look at the controversy surrounding the teaching of intelligent design in the classroom.

 

The event will include a question and answer session with movie producer Logan Craft, Provost Marvin Olasky, and prominent intelligent design professor, Dr. William Dembski.

FORMER KING’S PROFESSOR REJOINS FACULTY AFTER 13 YEAR HIATUS

 

The King’s College is proud to announce that renowned author, teacher, and speaker Udo Middelmann will join the faculty in fall of 2008.

 

King’s College provost and WORLD magazine editor-in-chief Marvin Olasky calls Middelmann “one of the world’s best teachers of philosophical apologetics and other topics in philosophy.”

KING’S HIRES ANNE HENDERSHOTT TO TEACH NEW CORE COURSE

 

NEW YORK—The King’s College is proud to announce the hiring of Anne Hendershott, who will join the faculty as Professor of Urban Affairs in the fall of 2008.

 

Hendershott received her B.A. and M.S. degrees from Central Connecticut State University and her Ph.D. in Sociology from Kent State University.

KING’S LAUNCHES SEMESTER IN THE CITY PROGRAM

 

The King’s College “Semester in the City” program provides the opportunity for students from across the nation to study for one semester in New York City.

 

The King’s College has been in the New York area for over 60 years. In 1999 we moved our campus to the Empire State Building. You will live and study right in the heart of mid-town Manhattan. Our curriculum intentionally integrates the best that NYC has to offer into the student’s educational experience.

ALUMNUS JOHN SPIER ('72) NAMED TO THE KING’S COLLEGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

 

Mr. John Spier, a 1972 graduate of The King’s College, was appointed to the Board of Trustees on Tuesday, December 11, 2007.

 

After graduating, Spier became the founding CEO of FirstService Bank until its successful sale to National Penn BancShares. He is also the former president and CEO of Bucks County Bank and Trust.

KING’S STUDENTS LAND COVETED INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS

 

For Ted Pantone, the completion of the fall ‘07 semester was not so much an end, as it was a beginning. Now that he has graduated, Pantone leaves King’s for what he calls “the best job I could have hoped for right out of college.”
