DR. BRUCE GORDON NAMED
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF
SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS
Dr. Bruce L. Gordon has been
named Associate Professor of
Science and Mathematics at
The King’s College.
Dr. Gordon was most recently
the Research Director at the
Seattle-based Discovery
Institute. Prior to that, he
held several positions at
Baylor University, including
the directorship of the
Interdisciplinary Program in
Science, Philosophy, and
Religion at the Baylor
Institute for Faith and
Learning.
Dr. Marvin Olasky, provost
at The King’s College, said,
“We look for multi talented
professors with
interdisciplinary
understandings, so we are
delighted that Dr. Gordon
can brilliantly teach
science and math, and knows
philosophy and theology as
well. He is adept in both
scholarly and popular
communication—and is even an
accomplished pianist."
A prolific writer and
popular speaker, Dr. Gordon
is the co-editor (with
William Dembski) of The
Nature of Nature,
forthcoming from ISI Books.
Modern Physics and Theistic
Metaphysics is forthcoming
from InterVarsity Press.
Dr. Gordon received an
undergraduate degree in
piano performance from the
Royal Conservatory of Music
at the University of
Toronto. He has a Bachelor
of Science degree in applied
mathematics and a Master of
Arts in philosophy from the
University of Calgary. He
holds a Master of Arts in
religion from Westminster
Theological Seminary, and a
Ph.D. in the history
and philosophy of science
(physics) from Northwestern
University.
