On Saturday morning, you will select the faculty lecture you’d like
to attend given by one of three professors. Get a taste of what an actual
class your child attends is like and take part in q&a with the professor at
the end of the lecture. The professors each represent one of the three
schools at Kings - see their bios for more information on their field of
Join us after lunch as we are guided through the exciting and
important history of New Amsterdam, Wall Street and the Financial District.
Professional tour guides will cover much ground including:
- Discover how an 18th century street bazaar became
the greatest financial center in the world.
- Learn about the darker side of Wall Street,
including its scandals, panics, and crashes.
- Walk in the footsteps of financial moguls such as
Alexander Hamilton, J.P. Morgan, Andrew Carnegie, John D. Rockefeller,
and Victoria Woodhull.
- Explore the celebrated landmarks that occupy Wall
Street and the surrounding area.
- Hear firsthand accounts of Wall Street today as
only industry insiders can tell them.
- Visit the Ground Zero Memorial and see the
construction at the site of the new World Trade Center and the Freedom
The cost to attend Parent and Family Weekend is $30 per adult and $15 per
non-TKC child. This includes the Parent reception, breakfast, lunch, walking
tour and Saturday night’s dessert event. TKC students will purchase tickets
to individual events/meals for the weekend at Student Services.
