Our mission to train students to lead strategic institutions is reflected at
every level of the student experience, from the great ideas we study to our
House system and our commitment to being men and women of honor. We
accomplish this by providing an academic experience grounded in politics,
philosophy, and economics – those areas of study that have the most
influence in shaping society.
However, knowledge is not learned in a
vacuum. Therefore, Student Development augments the vision of the College in
two main ways: first, we create opportunities for students to test their
knowledge by providing opportunities to lead; second, we provide training
and support that helps students navigate the challenges they face during
their college career.
This experiential learning strategy, primarily implemented through The
King’s Council and the House System, allows for the integration of theory
and practice such that students are equipped to shape the College today and
society tomorrow.
