Student Leadership
The Statesmanship Institute
exists to inspire, equip, and
empower student leaders of The
King’s College. Starting with
the Summit, they learn and
discuss what it means to lead as
a follower of Christ, planning
and refocusing for the year
ahead. Throughout the year, the
student leaders also have the
opportunity to attend
Statesmanship Forums, hearing
from top leaders and being
exposed to leadership in action.
Along with the privileges of the
Institute, these student leaders
are tasked with the great
responsibility to infuse the
culture of The King’s College
with a spirit worthy of its
mission.
Their leadership takes shape as
they engage with the ideas in
their classes. These ideas give
them reason to lead and take
root as they study the Spiritual
Disciplines and become a person
of commitment and character.
Their daily work as a leader in
their House provides them a
place to actually lead and learn
from experience. Along the way,
Student Development hopes to
expose them to competencies and
practices that will help them
lead with excellence.
This leadership position
provides a platform for personal
transformation, spiritual
growth, professional
development, and campus-wide
engagement with true ideas.
