Bethany’s Internship Diaries: What it’s like to travel to Africa during Covid-19
These next few weeks, we're following Bethany (JCS '23) as she interns with the nonprofit Extreme Response International in Cape Town, South Africa.
Bethany Johnson is a rising Junior from Tennessee. She studies Journalism and is in the House of Susan B. Anthony. She is interning in Cape Town, South Africa with Extreme Response, a nonprofit for the summer. Her job is to film and edit videos covering how Extreme Response is working in the community to further education, leadership, and life skills. She spends her days planning and conducting interviews, posting on social media, snapping pictures, and grabbing footage around Cape Town.
