Pricing

Participate in one week: $200

Participate in both weeks: $350

Applications due by July 12 for the finance track and by July 17 for the journalism tracks.

The cost of the week covers all lectures, and (1) academic credit. Please email summeracademy@tkc.edu for more information.

Upon acceptance, secure your spot by submitting your Summer Academy Enrollment Fee of $200.

You will receive the payment link information via email once you’ve been accepted into the program. Applications due by July 8 for the finance track and by July 17 for the journalism tracks.

Program Details

Acceptance Requirements

To be eligible to attend Summer Academy, a student must be a sophomore, junior, or senior in the 2019-2020 school year. Students who apply should be interested in journalism, business, economics, politics, government, or leadership. They should also be academically oriented, as the program will consist of lecture, discussion, and activities that are geared toward high-achieving high school students. GPA is factored as a part of the application process.

Students will be considered for the program based on the strength of their application, and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

To be eligible for Early Action, we must receive your application by January 31, 2020. Applications for regular registration will be accepted on a rolling basis, so apply early and hear back from us sooner!

Student Expectations

Our community thrives on independence and mutual respect, so students will be encouraged to interact with integrity and character. We will send a full code of conduct before the session begins for students and their parents to sign.

Students at the Academy will have the chance to interact with King’s professors, other experts in their field, and current students from King’s throughout their time at the Academy, during mealtimes and activities, as well as in the classroom.

Q: How will the classes work?
A: Professors will give lectures, facilitate discussion, and interact with the students real-time using online conferencing software.

Q: How do I access my Summer Academy Online Classes?
A: An information packet will be sent out to you once you have paid the enrollment fee with login information and instructions on accessing your course!

Q: Will the lectures be recorded or given live?
A: The lectures will be given live–please see our summer academy schedules for details about when the program will take place over the course of the week!
