I am a native of the Midwest as well, so I know how simultaneously exciting and daunting it can be to think about moving from there to a place like New York City. The community at The King’s College has been a big part of increasing my comfort in a new environment. Getting plugged into a church (I go to Bridge Church in Brooklyn) has also been a huge help. The College and the City put you in proximity with people you never knew you would need, and bonds you never thought you would make. The amount of personal growth that I have experienced simply by being here is insane. There is no place that I would rather call my second home.
