Gregory Alan Thornbury is the Chancellor at The King’s College, and previously held the position of president from August 1, 2013-December 1, 2017.

Dr. Thornbury is a popular writer and speaker on philosophy, religion, and contemporary culture, whose forthcoming work, Why Should the Devil Have All the Good Music?: Larry Norman and the Perils of Christian Rock (Penguin/Random House, 2017), is a biography of the 1970s Jesus Movement icon and rock pioneer, Larry Norman, whom Thornbury calls, “the forerunner of the millennial generation’s attitude toward religion.

Dr. Thornbury and his wife Kimberly, who also holds a Ph.D., have two daughters and reside in Manhattan.
