Wm. Lee Hanley, Jr. served as King’s Chairman of the Board from 2014 to 2016. He had been Chairman & CEO of Hanley Petroleum, Inc., an oil and gas exploration company, starting in 1964.
In addition to his service at King’s, Mr. Hanley served as an Officer and Board Member on a number of not-for-profit boards over the years, including Greenwich Hospital (CT) Chairman 1988 – 1991 and Trustee from 1979 – 1998; Founder of The Yankee Institute for Public Policy Studies (Hartford, CT) and Chairman of Yankee from 1991 – 2001; Chairman of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (Washington, D.C.) 1986 – 1987: Trustee of The Boys’ Club of New York from 1987 – 1992; Trustee Boys’ & Girls’ Club of Greenwich (CT) 1980 – 2000; Young Presidents Organization, Chairman Metro NY Chapter 1985-1986.
Mr. Hanley is survived by his wife Allie, five daughters and 14 grandchildren.
