The King’s College Volleyball Team played under new head coach, Jackie Randolph, this season. The team won two of their final three games and advanced to the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships for the second year in a row. Unfortunately, the lost in the semi-finals to conference champion College of New Rochelle. Senior captain Alex Rollis picked up her third straight HVIAC All-Conference award while fellow senior captain Jessie Schnoebelen was selected for the first time. Freshman Isabelle Sandmeyer notched an HVIAC Rookie of the Week honor during the season.

The Men’s Soccer Team endured a tough season with new head coach, Tom Harman, at the helm. But the team hopes this was just growing pains as they featured 10 freshman and sophomores on the roster as they look to build for the future. Connor Christiansen and Caleb Wilson were tabbed during the season as HVIAC Player of the Week Honorable Mention selections. Senior Captain Isaiah Contu-Owen received HVIAC All-Conference honors for the first time.

The King’s College Cross Country Team enjoyed a fine season under first-year head coach and King’s alumni, Brandon Santulli. Coach Santulli started the TKC Running Club while he was a student and the club evolved into our cross country team. Led by junior captain Hannah Lezak and Charlie O’Brien, the team competed in five meets during the season capped off by the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Conference Championships. With no seniors being lost to graduation the future seems even brighter for 2016!

Our Golf Team competed in its second season of competition in 2015 led by junior Victoria Li and senior Gabe Medina. The team’s season was capped off at Penn State at the United States College Athletic Association Championships where freshmen Natalie Hustek won the chipping contest during the skills competition.

The Lady Lions Women’s Soccer Team earned their third straight trip to the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Conference playoffs. The team won two of their last three games under new head coach Tom Harman; they fell to SUNY-ESF in the conference semi-finals. Senior captain Caitlin Essex earned her third straight HVIAC All-Conference award and freshman Maddie Tyler garnered an HVIAC Player of the Week Honorable Mention selection. With 16 freshmen and sophomores on the roster and only two seniors graduating (Essex and Annalise Bourgeois), 2016 holds great promise for the team.

The King’s College Men’s Basketball Team started off their season with a 6-2 record before taking a break from the court for final exams and the Christmas holiday. They reeled off six wins in just one month to open their season. (One of their losses was a 77-75 OT heartbreaker.) Senior captain James Brooks continues to lead the way with talented freshmen Trivette Knowles and Michael Tomasiewicz. All three players have earned Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) Player of the Week and/or Rookie of the Week honors so far this season. The team returns to the practice court for the start of the new semester before taking on Pratt Institute in an important HVIAC contest on Monday, January 18.
