The King’s College is pleased to welcome Tullian Tchividjian to campus for a conversation with President Gregory Alan Thornbury. The event will take place on April 16 at noon.

Tchividjian is the Senior Pastor of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. A Florida native, Tchividjian is also the grandson of Billy and Ruth Graham, a visiting professor of theology at Reformed Theological Seminary, and a contributing editor to Leadership Journal. He is a best-selling author, having written six books. The most recent, One Way Love—God’s Inexhaustible Grace for an Exhausted World, was released in October 2013. Other titles include Glorious Ruin: How Suffering Sets You Free (an ECPA finalist for Book of the Year in 2012) and Jesus + Nothing = Everything, which was named Christianity Today‘s Book of the Year in 2012.

Tchividjian travels extensively, speaking at conferences, churches, and colleges around the country, and is also the founder of LIBERATE, a resource ministry that seeks to “connect God’s inexhaustible grace to an exhausted world” through an annual conference, a website, and a wide range of other media outlets including a daily radio program on Moody Radio called LIBERATE.

Bethany Jenkins, Director of Career Development at King’s, will host the program. Tchividjian and Thornbury will discuss an issue important to students: vocation and calling. “To consider our call in God’s mission in the world is a profound topic that requires humility, grace, and guidance,” said Jenkins. “It’s something our students, and most New Yorkers, are asking regularly. To that end, we’re thrilled to partner with Mockingbird and LIBERATE to host a pre-conference conversation between pastor Tullian Tchividjian and President Greg Thornbury on vocation and calling.”

The event will take place at 12:00pm in the City Room on the campus of The King’s College, located at 56 Broadway in downtown Manhattan. The event is open to the public, but tickets must be reserved through Eventbrite.
