Jennifer Tharp

Associate Provost at The King’s College, Jennifer Tharp serves as the primary liaison for the Office of Academic Affairs on matters related to online and global teaching and learning. Tharp also leads retention and persistence strategies to support student learning and success for students on the New York City campus. She leads the Student Success team, which provides academic support programming and advising. She also supports the work of faculty by consulting on best practices for student success and facilitating academic policy.

After first joining The King’s College in 2009, Tharp has served in a few roles spanning the Student Development and Academic Affairs team, including as the Director of Student Services, as founding director of the Office of Student Success, and as Assistant Dean of Student Academic Services.

Jennifer earned a Ph.D. in Higher Education with a concentration in Student Success at Azusa Pacific University’s School of Behavioral and Applied Sciences. Her research focused on college student thriving and the psychosocial factors that support student thriving, learning, and success in college.
