Peter Ferrara graduated from Harvard College with a degree in economics and received his J.D. from Harvard Law School. He has held a variety of prestigious posts, including senior policy development staff in the Reagan White House and associate deputy attorney general under George H.W. Bush.

Ferrara’s previous roles also include senior fellow at the Cato Institute and John M. Olin Distinguished Fellow in Political Economy at the Heritage Foundation. He has taught at George Mason University as an associate professor and was chief economic advisor to Newt Gingrich during his 2012 presidential campaign.

As the Dunn Liberty Fellow, Ferrara teaches both foundational and upper-level economics courses, and he serves as a senior project advisor to advanced economics students. Alongside his teaching responsibilities, Ferrara appears frequently on Fox News and writes for media outlets including Forbes, Investor’s Business Daily, Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, and National Review. He is the author of several books, including America’s Ticking Bankruptcy Bomb (HarperCollins, 2011).
