Rev. Dr. John Richard Tinklepaugh (’60) passed away on July 11, 2018. Laurie (Shupp) Eccleston (’82) earned a master’s in clinical mental health counseling.

The Reverend Dr. John Richard Tinklepaugh (’60) passed away peacefully at his home on July 11, 2018. He was 81 years old. Read a full obituary here.

Scot Walker (’66) writes, “My newest play, Porcupines Forever, will be performed in a series of plays this August at The Old Courthouse Theatre, Concord, N.C.”

Laurie (Shupp) Eccleston (’82) graduated with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling in December 2017 and accepted the program director position with Management and Training Corporation at the Joe Ney Unit Substance Abuse Treatment Program in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in Hondo, Texas.

Jon Seidl (’09) and his wife, Brett, who met at King’s, welcomed their second child and first son into the world on March 18, 2018. “His name is Jack Lewis, named after C.S. Lewis, of course,” Jon writes.

Bria Sandford (MCA ’12) lost her 27-year-old brother Ian Earl Sandford on July 9, 2018 due to complications from pneumonia. The funeral was held in New Boston, N.H. on Saturday, July 14. Aaron Sandford writes, “Ian Earl Sandford went to be with Christ on Monday evening. He leaves behind afflictions that were neither light nor momentary, and though we miss him sorely, we are so happy to know that he is whole—healthy for the first time since his birth. He also leaves behind a family that loves him dearly, and whom he loved in life with simplicity and innocence, without condition or reservation.”

Luke Trouwborst (PPE ’14) was awarded the 2018 Donn Medd Gaebelein Faculty Award at the Stony Brook School for his “outstanding commitment and dedication to curriculum development programs which integrate faith and learning.”
