The King’s College is now a part of the Yellow Ribbon Program, a voluntary fund-matching partnership between degree-granting universities and colleges and Veterans Affairs. The Program provides scholarships and grants toward the education of veterans and their dependents. Yellow Ribbon helps students avoid out-of-pocket tuition and fees not covered by the Post 9/11 G.I. Bill. Beginning in the 2014-15 academic year, this program will allow King’s to provide contributions to those who have served in the military as well as their dependents.

The Yellow Ribbon Program enables King’s to give these remarkable individuals and their children the opportunity to pursue a Christian education. With its focus on leadership, big ideas, and an interdisciplinary, holistic curriculum, veterans and their dependents will find King’s to be a supportive institution. With the core curriculum at the heart of every degree, students will learn how the ideas of the past and the present shape the world.

In addition to the laudable service these veterans have already provided, the dynamism of a Christian education and worldview will prepare them to eventually lead in strategic institutions of their choosing. King’s is pleased to offer benefits to these individuals who have already demonstrated acts of leadership, service, and patriotism and who will help to fulfill the mission of the College.

Congressman and retired Colonel Allen West, himself a veteran, said in his 2013 Commencement Address at The King’s College, “[My parents] taught me that an education arms you to avail yourself of all this great country has to offer.” (Click to watch last year’s commencement speech.) The Yellow Ribbon Program allows those who have taken up literal arms for their country to take advantage of its educational opportunities as well.

The King’s College offers four-year degrees in Business Administration; Finance; Media, Culture & the Arts; and Politics, Philosophy & Economics. In addition to its campus in the Financial District in New York City, King’s offers online opportunities through King’s Online including the First Year Online program and the “2+2 Program.”
