Friday, October 21

  • 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Parents Welcome Reception*

Saturday, October 22

  • 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Breakfast
  • 9:30 a.m. 10:20 a.m. Parent Panel
  • 10:30 a.m. – 12:20 p.m. Parent Breakout Sessions

Sunday, October 23

Free day for parents to attend church and enjoy the city with your student!

*Events students are welcome to attend.

Join Parents Weekend

We are thrilled to welcome you back on campus this year. Parents Weekend activities are intentionally planned to give a glimpse into your child’s life here at King’s, hear updates from the college, meet staff, faculty, and fellow parents, and most importantly give you as much time as possible to spend with your student.

Friday, October 21

Respective Times: Attend a Class

We are proud to provide students with an outstanding education delivered by our world-class faculty. This year, we invite you to register for a class/ es from the courses listed below. Note: Only the courses listed are available to attend. Each professor approved beforehand if visitors can join based on classroom capacity and lesson plans. 

Register for a Class

5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: Parents Welcome Reception*

Join the Dean of Students, David Leedy, members of the Parents Advisory Council, House Advisors and students leaders for light snacks and refreshments. Program begins at 6:00 p.m. with an address from President Gibson and a chance to pray alongside House Advisors and student leaders.

Saturday, October 22

9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.: Breakfast

A chance to connect with other parents over breakfast.

9:30 a.m. – 10:20 a.m.: Parent Panel

Hear from staff and members of the Parents Advisory Council updates on King’s happenings and how to best support your student from afar.

10:30 a.m. – 12:20 p.m.: Parent Breakout Sessions

Choose from three breakouts and hear specific insight from staff and members of the Parents Advisory Council on how to support your student in the realms of Academic Success, Student Formation, and Navigating Difficulties. 

Programming will conclude at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 22. We encourage you to enjoy lunch with your student and explore the City for the rest of the weekend.
