ready for a distinctive international experience in line with the mission of The
King’s College?
International Ventures are strategic projects organized by The King’s College
that enable students and faculty members to engage critical issues in other
nations. These trips have three primary emphases: ideas, institutions, and
people of influence.
International Ventures are idea-guided. Students see how ideas studied
in the classroom affect institutions and people in other countries. Trip
participants enter into the national dialogue. Forums, debates, and
presentations allow students to see the relevance of universal principles and
serve as a voice for liberty. Students learn to effectively communicate the
essence of The King’s College curriculum – proven ideas that promote freedom,
happiness, and prosperity.
International Ventures introduce students to strategic institutions in
foreign nations. Students learn the history of political and economic
institutions and the role they play today. Participants discover the difference
between social institutions that are built on timeless principles and those that
are not.
The heart and soul of International Ventures consists in interaction with
societal influencers – current and future leaders of a nation. Team
members interact firsthand with national leaders and build bridges with top
university students who represent the future of the country. Through
idea-centered exchanges, King’s students build meaningful friendships and have
opportunity to discuss Aristotle, Augustine, and Adam Smith.
Participants in International Ventures trips cross more than national
borders. They learn to cross cultural, language, and worldview borders. Teams
put feet to the mission of The King’s College by engaging leaders of other
nations.
