Commencement 2016


Commencement Exercises for The King’s College Class of 2016 will be held on Saturday, May 7th at 10:00 am.

The ceremony will take place at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church at 7 W 55th Street. The main entrance is on 5th Avenue.

Linda Lorraine Bean

Linda graduated from Antioch College with a degree in Business Administration. She has been a successful entrepreneur, working as a real estate broker, newspaper editor and publisher, as well as founding one of the largest Maine lobster empires.

Linda is the ancestral daughter of five Mayflower Pilgrims and has deep ties to New England. Her grandfather started LL Bean, Inc. 104 years later it is a billion dollar business that is still owned by Linda and her family. The company is currently managed by its 4th and 5th family generation and Linda serves on the Board of Directors.


Each graduate will receive six (6) complimentary tickets for friends and family.  Additional tickets are available for $10.00 each on the school’s website before May 6th.  Students will be able to pick up tickets between April 25th and May 6th at Student Services.  Tickets will also be sold at the door before the ceremony. Children five and under do not need a ticket.

Parents' Reception - May 6th

Parents and graduates are cordially invited to the annual Parents’ Reception during Commencement Weekend.  Please join us any time between 4:30 and 6:30 pm on campus to mingle with friends, parents, faculty, and staff.  Due to space restrictions extended family and friends are not invited to this event.  Beverages and light snacks will be served.  RSVP here by Monday, April 25th.


A professional photographer will take individual pictures of each graduate after receiving their diploma as well as a group photo after the ceremony.  Pictures will be available to order through their website.  More information will be shared with graduates.

Program Farewell Receptions (with faculty, graduates, and alumni). Location and timing vary for each program, and will be communicated to the graduates.

Wednesday, May 4th

5:00pm: Mandatory Rehearsal for Graduates (City Room)

Friday, May 6th

4:30-6:30pm: Parents’ Reception (Main Lobby)

Saturday, May 7th

8:45am: Graduates arrive at 5th Avenue Presbyterian

9:30am: Doors at 5th Avenue Presbyterian open to the public

10:00am-11:30am: Commencement Ceremony, immediately followed by Class of 2016 photo
