As a student in New York City, the city is your campus. After a semester of hard work, finals season provides an opportunity to shake up your study routine, taking advantage of city study spots and creating space to finish well.

You’ve almost made it. You are so close. With only one month left in the semester, it might be a good time to shake up your study routine. Getting on the train and going to a different neighborhood or visiting a fun study spot might be just what you need to regain motivation.

If you are not sure where to go, here are a few of our favorite spots.

Poets House
10 River Terrace, New York, NY 10282

If you’re looking for a quiet library near campus, Poets House is a great place to start. With large community tables and natural light, this reading room provides plenty of space to write a paper or review notes. There’s also a coffee shop next door for all your study-break needs!

Rose Reading Room
New York Public Library, 476 5th Ave, New York, NY 10018

Sometimes you just need to get out of your neighborhood. If this is the case, The Rose Reading Room at the Schwarzman Building might be the place for you. Open six days a week, this iconic space is ideal for research and writing.

One Hotel Brooklyn Neighbors Cafe
60 Furman St, Brooklyn, NY 11201

For students who miss the sunny days of summer and afternoons studying outdoors, Neighbors Cafe provides a quiet and bright study space along Brooklyn Bridge Park. With delicious coffee and treats, the cafe provides an environment for long hours studying with a friend or reviewing flashcards.
