In an increasingly globalized world, it’s important for emerging leaders to have a solid grasp of how commerce, politics, and economics work not just in the United States, but around the world. With that in mind, The King’s College is pleased to begin offering a minor in International Business, which students may pursue beginning in the Spring 2016 semester.

All students at the college, regardless of major, may enroll in the minor. Between 15 and 18 credits are required, including macroeconomics, principles of management and organization, international business, and either economic development or international economics. Additionally, students must take one of three courses in international politics, international investments, or another course in business, economics, or politics with an international focus. Finally, students must either prove beginning competency in a foreign language (through coursework or another means) or participate in an approved, internationally-focused academic experience, as approved by the Business and Finance Program Chair.

“The international business minor provides students with a broad-based understanding of key issues in international commerce, politics, and economic development, and offers students the chance to explore opportunities in the global marketplace,” said Brian Brenberg, Chair of the Program in Business and Finance.
