Stephen Kurczy

Stephen Kurczy is an award-winning journalist with more than 15 years experience writing and editing for regional, national, and international publications, from the Cambodia Daily to the Christian Science Monitor to The New Yorker. A contributing editor at Appalachia Journal, he is currently working on a book of narrative nonfiction to be published by HarperCollins imprint Dey Street in 2021. He earned his MS from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, where he was a 2016-2017 Knight-Bagehot Fellow in Business and Economics Journalism. He has a BA in Philosophy from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Mich.
