Steve Douglass

Steve Douglass passed away on October 29, 2022 due to complications from cancer. He was the President Emeritus of Cru/Campus Crusade for Christ and served as a member of the King’s Board of Trustees from 2001 to the time of his death.

He came to the ministry after graduating from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard Business School. Through more than five decades of service, he held a variety of positions, including Vice President for Administration and National Director of the U.S. Ministries. In July 2001, Douglass took over as the President of Campus Crusade for Christ from its founder Bill Bright. In October of 2020 he passed the baton of President to Steve Sellers.

Douglass was the author or co-author of several books, including Enjoying Your Walk with God, How to Achieve Your Potential and Enjoy Life, and How to Get Better Grades and Have More Fun. He also hosted a radio program, Making Your Life Count, which aired daily on 1,600 stations.

Steve is survived by his wife, Judy, three grown children, and ten grandchildren.
