Alumni Class Notes for October 2019

Kathy Anderson (’63) co-founded the first pregnancy help center in Santiago, Chile, and Matt Miglin (’90) went home to be with the Lord on October 12.

James A. Byrd (’59) passed away on October 13, 2019. Tracy Byrd Dickerson (’84) writes, “Rest eternal grant to him, O Lord; And let light perpetual shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.”

Kathy Anderson (’63) writes, “I co-founded the first pregnancy help center in Santiago, Chile—Fundación Apoyo para el Embarazo. We just celebrated our first year of operation in a house owned by a Christian couple from the U.S. Please pray that more women with an unplanned pregnancy will seek us out for pregnancy testing; individualized education on pregnancy, fetal development and baby care, earning baby items; abortion recovery education; and sexual integrity education that they need. We have been blessed by the donation of an ultrasound machine from a couple and a business in the U.S. and plan to implement our ultrasound program next month.”

Robert Bower (’69) is married to Judy Sisco, former Athletic Director, Basketball Coach, Headmaster in various Christian Schools for 32 years. He is now retired near Orlando, Fla., with two children and six grandchildren.

Rick Millham writes, “For any late 80’s alumni, a good friend and fellow alumnus Matt Miglin (’90) went home to be with the Lord this weekend [Saturday, October 12]. Prayers for his family and friends are encouraged.”

Matthew Huffman (’16) married Joni Adams (now Joni Huffman) on August 24th, 2019.
