Lois Mallalieu Watson ’54 says, “On February 23, 2016, we experienced a Category 3 tornado over our home. It was frightening, but God spared us of major damage and we praise Him for that.”

David Cossey ’66 (former President of the Student Council as a senior at King’s) writes, “I was a Mathematics major at King;s. I graduated number one in my class. After graduating I went to Lehigh University and received my Master’s degree in 1968. From 1968-1979, I taught Math and Computer Science at Barrington College—now joined with Gordon College—where I was also Director of Computing. From 1979-1986, I was Director of Computing at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. I taught computing at Wharton and was in charge of a course required of all MBA students. From 1986-2010, I worked at Union College in Schenectady, NY, retiring as Chief Information Officer in 2010. In December, 2009 I embarked on a medical adventure that I wasn’t expected to survive. But God saw otherwise. I spent 46 days in the hospital and 66 days in a local rehab hospital, For ten days I was on hospice—they did not expect me to survive, but God had other plans. I had a scheduled routine MRI at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY, about three blocks from Union. They did an initial reading of the MRI, and the next thing I knew they were walking me to admit me to the hospital. The next day I had surgery for a bi-lateral, sub-dermal hematoma. After that, it was 46 days in the hospital (including 10 days in hospice and 25 in intensive care). My wife Jean had planned my funeral—but God graciously had other plans for me.”

I spent many years in church ministry wearing many hats, teaching, leading, administrating and developing ministry programs for children.”
