Dr. Jeffrey Jue Appointed Senior Fellow in Christianity and Culture
Dr. Jeffrey K. Jue was appointed Senior Fellow in Christianity and Culture at The King’s College. Jue has extensive experience in non-profit and higher education leadership.
This summer, Dr. Jeffrey K. Jue was appointed Senior Fellow in Christianity and Culture at The King’s College. Jue has extensive experience in non-profit and higher education leadership, and previously served as provost and executive vice president at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. In his role as senior fellow, Jue will represent the mission and vision of the College to national and international audiences, and will consult on the Religious and Theological Studies major at King’s.
Jue says, “It is a great privilege to be appointed Senior Fellow of Christianity and Culture. Educating and preparing future leaders to make a significant impact in our society is a critical mission for our day. I am excited to contribute to this bold and worthwhile endeavor at The King’s College in this new role.”
Jue received his Ph.D. in History and Divinity from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, in 2003. He also holds an M.Div. from Westminster Seminary California and a B.A. in Social Ecology from the University of California at Irvine.
Jue is currently a managing director at the American Bible Society in Philadelphia, where he leads a global Bible-based training program that prepares churches to care for survivors of war, natural disasters, displacement, abuse, and other trauma. The program operates in 117 countries within every region of the world. Jue has taught for over twenty years, lecturing in numerous institutions including: Trinity College Dublin, Ireland; University of Aberdeen, Scotland; Cambridge University, UK; Peking University, China; International Reformed Evangelical Seminary, Indonesia; and Chongshin University, South Korea.
His published research includes studies in early modern and modern church history, historical theology, and ethnic religious studies. He was the first occupant of the Stephen Tong Chair of Theology at Westminster Theological Seminary. He lives in the Philadelphia area with his wife and three children.
