King’s Appoints Robb Myer as a Fellow in Technology and Entrepreneurship

The King’s College is pleased to announce the appointment of Robb Myer as a Fellow in Technology and Entrepreneurship. The appointment is part of the NEOS Initiative at King’s, which aims to equip students with analytical and digital skills that will expand their range of capabilities after graduation, at the intersections of technology, enterprise, culture and creativity.

Myer is also an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Carnegie Mellon University, where he coaches and advises some of the University’s next hot spin-out teams. His personal interests are practical applications of Machine Learning and Intelligent Agents for consumers and businesses.

“I feel honored and humbled to serve as a Fellow at The King’s College,” said Myer. “I am excited to join in their mission of training Christian students to integrate their personal faith into their daily life and career.”

Myer has mentored dozens of early stage companies through accelerators such as CMU’s Project Olympus, AlphaLab, ThrillMill, Idea Foundry, TechStars, and University of Pittsburgh’s Blast Furnace. He is a sought after speaker on LEAN product development principles and has been interviewed by Fox Business, Bloomberg Radio and TV, Pittsburgh Magazine, and Pittsburgh TeQ.

In 2010 Myer founded NoWait, a two-sided on-demand network which connects people to no-reservation restaurants without waiting in line. The NoWait founding story was featured in Entrepreneur Magazine in 2013. NoWait was honored as Pittsburgh’s 2014 Startup of the Year, and raised $22.5M in Venture Capital funding.

Earlier in his career, Myer worked as an application engineer, program manager and venture-investment associate at Agilent Technologies in Palo Alto, CA, as well as a communication engineer at the Kennedy Space Center, FL. He holds an M.B.A. from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business and a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of South Florida, where he has been honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
