The King’s College is pleased to announce the hiring of Kimberly Reeve as the Director of the NYC Semester in Business and an Assistant Professor of Business.

Prior to joining King’s, Reeve drew on her experience leading development and marketing teams at several national and global organizations to work as a consultant to businesses and nonprofits for nine years. In that capacity, Reeve traveled and worked with clients throughout the U.S., Europe, South America, and Asia and started the European office of Cathedral Consulting Group, based in Amsterdam. Reeve’s research interests include mergers and acquisitions in the nonprofit sector, measuring impact in social enterprises, and identifying effective means of scaling enterprises.

“Kimberly Reeve is a seasoned professional with a strong professional network in New York City, a proven track record in the marketplace, and an abiding faith in Jesus Christ,” said Brian Brenberg, Associate Professor of Business and Chair of the Program in Business and Finance. “She is ideally suited to build and lead our New York City Business Semester program.”

Part of Reeve’s duties including launching and directing the NYC Semester in Business at King’s. Building off the success of the King’s NYC Semester in Journalism, NYCB provides an opportunity for students in the U.S. and around the world to immerse themselves in the study of business using the city of New York, a global financial center, as their classroom.

Each semester, NYCB students take one course together around the theme of Business in New York City, and will be fully integrated with the King’s student body for the rest of their coursework. Steps from the New York Stock Exchange, King’s offers challenging business, finance, marketing, and management coursework that is integrated with learning experiences at key historic, cultural, and financial institutions.

Other courses available in the program include International Business, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, Entrepreneurship and Venture Formation, Legal Studies in Business, Investments, and Decision Process and Negotiation; NYCB students are encouraged to participate in King’s integrated curriculum as well, and pursue courses in politics, philosophy, economics, media, culture, and the arts.

New York City is also the capital for international NGOs, and coursework takes advantage of our proximity to the United Nations and connections to other NGOs. Furthermore, The King’s College provides networking opportunities, including lunches and dinners with Christian leaders in New York City’s businesses and NGOs.

As an assistant professor at King’s, Reeve will teach International Business, Business Ethics, and Nonprofit Management. She earned an B.A. from Colby College, an M.B.A. from the University of St. Thomas, and a Certificate in Global Affairs from New York University, and she is completing her Ph.D. in International Business at the International School of Management in Paris, France. Reeve and her husband have lived in Brooklyn for eleven years.
