On April 18, The King’s College announced the formation of the Alumni Giving Society.

The Alumni Giving Society exists to encourage alumni to help the College provide an education based on the Gospel of Christ. Acting President Tim Gibson said, “Being a member of The King’s College community isn’t something that ends when a student graduates. Our graduates are lifelong learners who understand the value of their King’s education and are committed to paying it forward to the graduates who come after them. The Alumni Giving Society serves as a tangible mechanism for alumni to express their support.”

Alumni can join the Society with monthly gifts at three different levels: the Circle of Truth, the Circle of Beauty, and the Circle of Goodness.

The Circle of Truth reflects a $15 monthly commitment or an annual gift of $250. Members of this circle receive early access to special events hosted by King’s, a members-only morning event at Homecoming, an e-copy of the annual Emblem magazine, a hard-copy mailing of the Year In Review magazine, and recognition in the Year In Review if they so choose.

The Circle of Beauty recognizes those who give $25 monthly or an annual gift of $500. At this tier, members will receive all the benefits of membership in the Circle of Truth as well as discounted tickets to Homecoming events and a hard-copy mailing of Emblem.

To join the Circle of Goodness, members commit to give $50 every month or an annual gift of $750. Circle of Goodness members enjoy all the benefits of the Circles of Truth and Beauty. They also receive discounts and early access to special events at King’s, and an annual holiday gift.

New graduates can become members of the Circle of Truth for a $5 per month donation through December of the next calendar year, or parents of graduating seniors may donate $35 for their son or daughter to join the Alumni Giving Society for the remainder of the calendar year.

All donations are tax-deductible. Recurring or one-time donations may be made on the King’s website, selecting “Alumni Giving Society” on the drop-down menu.

Gifts Officer Fisher Derderian (PPE ’16) said, “At King’s, students are asked to open their hearts to God and His creation. Through a rigorous curriculum and the College’s formative campus life, students learn the character of God and study the works of His hands, finding in them His truth, beauty, and goodness. The Alumni Giving Society allows alumni to support an institution where the fundamental truths of Christianity and the Bible are remembered, studied, and passed on.”
