On Wednesday, February 12, a group of 19 students from Handong Global University in Pohang, Korea visited The King’s College as a part of a trip to international organizations and research institutes in the United States.

Handong Global University strives to be a “World-Changing Global Leadership University,” educating 21st century leaders for Korea and the world. The university accomplishes this by emphasizing academic excellence, moral character, Christian commitment, interdisciplinary majors, a global perspective, and service projects, all things that resonate with the mission of The King’s College.

The students that visited New York are all majoring in International Studies and many are double-majoring in social studies, economic studies, and law. The purpose of the trip was to give the students an opportunity to gain practical knowledge about what they have been studying and visit organizations in the United States which could edify their education.

Because of previous relationships with Korean universities that were facilitated by Chairman Andy Mills, the Handong students and professors were intrigued by The King’s College and its Politics, Philosophy, and Economics education based in faith.

The group of students and professors visited The King’s College for a full day to sit in on a politics class about The Federalist Papers taught by Dr. David Corbin and Dr. Matthew Parks and learn more about a King’s education based in New York City.

In addition to The King’s College, the Handong delegation will visit the UN headquarters, UNICEF, and Amnesty International.

In the heart of New York City, The King’s College is an accredited, Christian liberal arts college. Through the truths of Christianity and great works in politics, philosophy, and economics, we are educating the next generation of leaders for America and the world.
