Lady Lions Soccer Prevails in Opening Game

The team travels to Albany this weekend to take on Albany Pharmacy and New Hampshire Tech in a tournament fundraiser for breast cancer.

2013 USCAA and HVIAC scoring leader, sophomore forward Genesis Castrellon (Encinitas, CA), picked up where she left off with 4 goals and an assist to lead TKC to a 10-0 win over Hudson Valley Conference foe, Yeshiva University. Sophomore forward Caitlin Essex (Argyle, TX) had 3 goals and an assist, freshmen center midfielder Aleena Cruz (Chula Vista, CA) made her collegiate debut with 2 goals and 2 assists and freshman midfielder Caitlin Clarke (Orlando, FL) added a goal. Sophomore keeper Victoria McAlister (Rancho Cucamonga, CA) got the shutout as the defense of sophomore Annalise Bourgeois (Woburn, MA), sophomore Ariel Mouser (Aiken, SC), freshman Kylie Locklar (Hagerman, ID), freshman Maizy Medley (Fircrest, Wa), freshman Ann Majors (Baumholder, DK), freshman Joanna Isaacs (Easton, PA) gave up only two shots. Freshmen Dominique Machain (Carlsbad, CA), Meg Melvin (Highland Mills, NY), and senior Erika Hilliard (Euless, TX) were strong in the midfield.
